Leasing a Colorado Springs Copier
Leasing a Colorado Springs copier has a variety of benefits — namely it saves you from the need for a larger initial capital overlay, and generally allows more flexible terms than a negotiated credit or installment agreement. Further, a lease specifically provides an advantage over a straight rental in that you can typically purchase the machine outright after the expiration of the term for an additional residual payment, should you so choose. Most lease contracts come with a service clause as well, that provides you the assurance that you will not have to worry about hangups, mishaps, or breakdowns that could occur during the duration of your use of the machine. This could even include a replacement of the Colorado Springs copier itself, should the machine stop functioning.

Do keep in mind that a lease or rental agreement does seem to work out to be a higher click cost than an outright purchase, especially if you were to make an immediate and full cash purchase of the machine. However, the flexibility of options these agreements provide and special tax loopholes you could take advantage of could very well offer you significant benefits that would outweigh any negatives.

Why Do they Keep Calling Over and Over?

Are You Dreading Your Phone Because Your Copier Rep Keeps Calling?

Are You Dreading Your Phone Because Your Copier Rep Keeps Calling?

Maybe you are looking for a copier in Colorado Springs and have been tired of getting called 100 times by 5 different copier reps.  So, you want a good deal, how do you get competitive quotes without getting 500 calls?

The first thing to realize is that copier reps, like all sales reps, fight pretty hard to get any leads and if you don’t give specific directions, they are wanting to make sure they don’t lose business because the other rep is too competitive and call 100 times and they try to be reasonable.  People tend to buy from the person they remember and trust, generally.  However, some people buy from guilt, and will go to the copier company in Colordao Springs that “works” so hard.

What you will want to do is give each of them specific instuctions and work with the companies who can actually follow instructions.  If you ask them to only call twice in a week, eliminate dealers who refuse to follow your directions.  A company who can’t listen well enough to follow your specific desires will probably struggle helping you get a copier in Colorado Springs that will meet your specific desires.

Xerox Phaser 8860MFP in Colorado Springs

Xerox Phaser 8860MFP in Colorado Springs

Have you been looking to get high quality color prints, but don’t want to break the bank buying a machine to do color flyers or marketing materials for your company?  Are you going to a print shop and paying $.29 per color flyer or more?  Maybe it is time to consider the Xerox Phaser 8860MFP in Colorado Springs!

If you go to a print shop and get your color copies for $.29 each and wondered if you could afford your own copier so you can be more efficient in your work, here is a quick breakdown.  Assuming you have decent volume, we’ll assume 500 color prints a month, you could look at it this way…  $.065 is about where you will start, and then you can get down to $.05 if your volume is high in color.  We’ll take $.065 to start with.

You are paying $.29 now, you would be paying $.065 for a differential of $.225 per copy.  The copier itself runs approximately $4,000 — So if you work this out over 3 years you would be at breakeven with just 493 color prints per month.  If you are doing 1,000 color prints — Paying $290 per month.    You could be paying $65 for the prints and $111 for the copier on average ($4,000/36) for a total per month cost of $176/month instead of $290.00

So, if you need a color copier in Colorado Springs, please give us a call!  We can help work out these sorts of numbers with you until you are comfortable that indeed, you are doing the best thing for your company.  If the numbers don’t support new equipment, we will also show you this.  It is not always smart to buy a new copier in Colorado Springs!

Thanksgiving for this Copier Technology

Thanksgiving for this Copier Technology

The Office Copier.  A device we all take for granted.  Yet, this piece of equipment has helped to shape minds and hearts across this great land.  Churches and Schools have used copiers to get their message out to the people in mass.  If there is a lesson, we can make it avaialble to hundreds or even thousands of people and then let them take home the notes.  Really, copiers are pretty darn amazing pieces of equipment.

Now, there are some things that are way more amazing than copier technology.  One thing I am particularily grateful for is the fact that God has forgiven me for my rotten attitudes and ways I have mistreated people.  Maybe you have divergent religious beliefs…  If you do, I just ask that you also seek to give the god you serve thanks during this holiday because we are a really blessed people!

When you have to come back from the potlucks and all the family stuff which is super important, we hope you’ll consider us for your copier needs in Colorado Springs!

It May be Snowing, but Don't Get Snowed

It May be Snowing, but Don't Get Snowed

Snow is falling in the area and it is a fun time of year.  The Holidays are right around the corner and people are trying not to spend as much time at work.  This post is to help make sure that your lack of time does not wind up killing your bottom line as you are unable to really look over all the revenue coming in and the costs going out.  So, what can you do about your printer and copier fleet?

  1. Check your bills to make sure the billed amount and the printed amount match.  We have seen a lot of companies cut staff so that this is now overlooked.
  2. Check and make sure you have their best pricing at all times.  Feel free to ask the hard questions!  Make sure they are always being competitive with printers and copiers in Colorado Springs
  3. Look for other value.  Can they provide software to maximize efficiencies?  Can they take more work on without an additional cost.

Copiers are not sexy, but they cost a lot of money!

Don’t Forget Installation Services with Your Copier Purchase

How Do I Scan? How Do I ... ??

How Do I Scan? How Do I ... ??

You spend a lot of money on your copier in Colorado Springs.  Why spend all that money and then feel frustrated with the fact you don’t know how to use all of the features?  It is becoming more common for us that customers are trying to get away from some of the “optional” services, trying to keep their expenses as low as possible.  Installation services is not one of the things you should scrimp on.  A 40 page per minute copier used well will be better than a 50 page per minute copier used poorly.

Installation services matter with your copier.  If you need a copier quote in Colorado Springs, please give us a call!

Take a Close Look at Your Quote and Contract!!

Take a Close Look at Your Quote and Contract!!

This post is not going to make me the most popular person in the copier industry because if you follow my advice, you could be taking a few thousand dollars out of the Colorado Springs copier company´s pocket and leaving it in yours!  Here are some tips which no one else will tell you!

  1. Don´t do a FMV lease on anything under $3,000.00  Why?  Because there is generally less than $5 a month difference when you do the lease either way.  If this is the case, why give back the equipment and have to pay the freight to get it to the leasing company?
  2. You don´t have to do a lease to be on a cost per print plan.  You can buy and sign up for a cost per print plan seperately.
  3. Ask your dealer if they have any demos models for sale on the model you´re looking at.  This will do two things…  1) It tells them you are wanting a value so they´ll naturally keep their prices lower and 2) It will let them know you are open to creative deals so they can get you the best deal.
  4. Always get your quotes itemized. ALWAYS!
  5. Always figure out the total cost of ownership and compare with the feature sets being offered.  Cheapest is not always best!

Following these simple steps on your next copier lease will save you a ton.  Please call us if you need a quote on a copier in Colorado Springs!

Is Your Copier Budget Hitting the Mark?

Are You Hitting Your Colorado Springs Copier Budget Goals?

Are You Hitting Your Colorado Springs Copier Budget Goals?

There are a lot of things that go into making your copier budget work…especially in this economy.   It takes discipline, analysis, and occasionally some tough decisions.   It’s difficult for me to watch businesses and non-profits let people go while at the same time throwing away money through ignorant copier (and color copier) management.

For instance, earlier this summer I worked up a copier and color printer quote for a real estate office using their current monthly printing volumes.   They had three offices, quite a few employees, and moderate (for their size) print volumes.   It took me about three hours to work up the comparison quote on a spreadsheet (mostly because I kept thinking there must be a mathematical error!).   The office manager let me know she was expecting a VERY competitive quote because cost was their most important factor….”makes sense” I thought, so, like normal, I gave her a detailed quote for $73,000 LESS (over 36 months) than their current plan!!

She saw the number, looked at the machines, and told me it just wouldn’t work…given their print volume I needed to have bigger copiers.   I asked her if the print volumes on the quote were correct, “yes, but we do a lot of printing.”   WHAT THE HECK??   I know how much printing you do–it’s what I selected your copiers based on!

What had happened, is they had been MASSIVELY oversold on their last lease, and she was expecting to get the same sort of quote.   When I offered to save them money, she didn’t believe it could be that much, and is probably going to stay with the same company that is screwing them out of a lot of cash!

Normally office managers are a little brighter, but it goes to show you how much you can overspend on your copier budget if you don’t shop around.   If you’re considering laying off employees or even shutting down a branch, look at your copier budget in Colorado Springs–you may be able to make up the difference just by managing your print budget in an intelligent manner.   Give me a call for a quote on your copier lease (feel free to compare copiers and MFPs) or a large-scale print analysis of your business.   Looking forward to talking with you.
