Getting the right amount of prints is an integral part of making sure that you are getting a good deal. It is also an area where many salespeople may try and scam you. They will always try to get you to buy more than you need to make themselves more money. This is just part of the sales game, but hey may try and make you feel like you are getting a deal with “unlimited prints.”

Unlimited prints is a scam. There is no company that will truly give you unlimited prints for a set price. Can you believe that if you suddenly jumped from 10,000 prints a month to over 50,000 prints the next month that they wouldn’t charge you more? Of course they would. Businesses cannot be sustained if they give away product without charging you for it. No matter what your salesperson may say, they are trying to scam you.

The ideal solution is to actually buy a little less prints than you think you will need on your busiest months. For example, if you think that you will need around 30,000 prints for the month, then we suggest trying to get a contact for around 24,000 prints, which is around 80% of your needed amount.

The 80% rule will allow you to have what you need for the vast majority of your business. Then, on the busier months you just buy the little extra that you need. This keeps you payments as low as they can be, while saving you from spending money on prints you won’t use.
